Human Resources Officer

Job Description

REF: HESCO1/05/21
The position is based at Head Office and reports to the Finance and Administration Manager. The main purpose of the job is to assist the Finance and Administration Manager in the implementation of human resources policies, principles and procedures.

Key Performance Areas
♦ Assist with the monitoring and effective implementation of Human Resources Policies, Principles and Procedures
♦ Assist in promoting and maintaining a harmonious industrial relations climate
♦ Assist with implementing and monitoring of the performance management system
♦ Maintain employee records
♦ Assist in coordinating recruitment and selection - staff recruitment and selection
♦ Attend to employee welfare issues as per policy
♦ Assist with consolidating human resources monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports

Essential Competencies
♦ Good interpersonal, presentation and consulting skills
♦ Excellent computer skills
♦ Good planning and organising skills
♦ Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
♦ Attention to detail

Qualifications and Experience
♦ A degree in Human Resources Management, Social Sciences or equivalent.
♦ At least 2 years' post graduate experience or 4 years for Higher National Diploma (HND) holders.
♦ Membership of a recognised professional institution
♦ MBA will be an added advantage
