MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Head of Revenue Operations. The position exists to manage and coordinate tolling systems, processes, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective revenue collection and assurance in a timely, complete, and accurate manner via a team of highly dedicated and motivated tolling revenue collectors. The incumbent will ensure that tolling revenue is fully accounted for in a transparent manner whilst upholding professional standards and work ethics in compliance with the law for win-win stakeholder outcomes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILI TIES:
Establish efficient and effective tolling revenue collection systems and operational procedures to ensure flawless revenue collection process.
Devise banking procedures and establish functional working relationships with banks to ensure safekeeping and banking of collected revenues.
Provide statistical tolling revenue information and analysis for management decision making.
Maintain all toll booths and plazas operationally functional to avoid disruption of operations
Ensure all toll operations are following applicable laws, policies, and operational procedures.
Participate in coming up with allocations in the budget formulation process to ensure adequate resource allocation for the department.
Liaise with Internal Audit on toll collection functions and manage follow up actions to identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure funds accountability.
Leads adherence to laid down internal controls and systems to avoid any financial loses
Attend to toll customer complaints or suggestions for superior customer service.
Manage staff motivation, performance appraisal and discipline to ensure a highly dedicated tolling workforce
Liaise with all stakeholders such as system vendors, service providers, banks, police and motorists to ensure win- win stakeholder outcomes.
Maintain Tolling booths hygiene and housekeeping standards
Come up with initiatives to improve customer experience at Tolling Points
EDUCATION, PROFESSION AL QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Commercial Degree in Accounting, Banking, Business Studies or equivalent
Relevant Professional Diploma
Master of Business Administration or equivalent
Proficiency in financial control systems, analysis, and design
5 years Tolling or Banking Management Systems experience of which 3 should have been at Senior Officer or Managerial level
Outstanding ICT and interpersonal skills
Unquestionable Integrity Be prepared to travel extensively visiting Toll Plazas across the country
Clean Class 4 Drivers Licence
